UNC Women Add a 19th NCAA Championship Posted by Tim McGuinness on December 7, 2008 at 9:30pm The UNC women added their another NCAA Championship to their incredible history – this is their 19th championship in the 27 years of the tournament. They beat Notre Dame 2-1. Notre Dame was trying to be the first team other than UNC to go undeated and started fast by scoring 16 seconds into the game. UNC has recorded 4 undefeated seasons.
