EA Sports picks Spain to win the Cup!

So according to EA Sports, makers of the great soccer video games like the FIFA series or the World Cup games, has made predictions that Spain would beat Brazil in the World Cup final 3-1. My first thought was how the great Pele once said about the idea of the US ever winning the Cup how absurd it was because Spain has not even won one yet. So I'm wondering, if Spain did win this year, does that mean we finally could the next Cup?

Regardless of the outcome, I hope we can all enjoy what looks to be some amazing soccer this year and spread the word about the beautiful game.

Hi,Having played soccer as a child until the age of 14 I was excited when I found a non- competitive league to try and see if I had any skills left. ...14 to 40 is a big gap! Lol.After all these years I was nervous and a little self-conscious but quickly and easily regained my passion. I never had mad skills but gave it my all and fell back into loving the sport.I have lost weight and improved my fitness since I restarted last May!As I work alone (self- employed) I look forward not only to playing the game with my teammates but the female comraderie. My teammates from last summer, most of whom had no previous experience playing soccer, organized for the fall and winter months, to continue to play indoor to keep up improvement and have that "woman time".We are now starting our second season of indoor soccer and look forward to great improvement to have an " edge" on other teams for our outdoor summer league.In keeping with the spirit of good sportsmanship first and formost,Laurie

First Year as Head Coach

Well, I went from "Team Mom/Equipment Manager" to impromptu Assistant Coach for my daughter's indoor/Futsal team, to Head Coach of a Girls U-12 team in three years.I've never played soccer on a team - just helped my daughter with her skills and really paid attention during practices with select teams and professional coaches (we played up last year when she was 9 to a U-13 league).Before this, I coached cheerleading and softball. Kids are pretty much the same wherever you are, and I've made it a point to really do my homework on the game. I think I've also managed to recruit a young man to the position of volunteer assistant coach - and he HAS played before. We'll see if a 22-year-old can withstand 10 & 11 year old girls :) So far, he seems to be having a good time and the girls like him.
